Meet Lauren Hood

Lauren graduated from Mountview Academy in 2008 where she won the

Gyearbuor Asante memorial prize for acting (previously won by Connie Fisher).

She wasted no time in securing her first lead role in the West End as Carrie Pipperidge in the hit musical "Carousel" at the Savoy Theatre alongside Lesley Garrett.

The Guardian quoted "Lauren Hood's Carrie was delicious! A twittering, tuneful songbird".

Lauren is currently performing the lead role of Laura in Dream Boats and Petticoats and she will be gracing our screens this December in the Victoria Wood Christmas special!

She has also just been nominated for a TMA award for best supporting actress in a musical.
